BASIC AUTO MECHANICS FOR MEN & WOMEN

In this series of 6 classes students will learn how cars and engines work and how to do many repairs themselves. The course combines lectures and actual hands on work and includes: Basic Auto Systems; Oil, Oil Change & Lubrication; Tune Ups; Cooling Systems, Overheating & Antifreeze; Brake Systems & Brake Jobs; Batteries & Jump-starting; Electrical Systems & Electrical Problems; Emergency Troubleshooting (What to do i9n an emergency, if your car won't start, or suddenly conks out); How To Buy A Used Car; and more. Students will actually work on their own & each others' cars.

Instructor Jerry Lewis has been teaching auto repair classes for more than twenty five years. His classes been written up in the San Francisco Bay Guardian, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the New York Times.

Instructor Gary Siegel is an ASE Certified Master Technician with over 30 years in the field. He was training director at an auto mechanics program in Chicago Illinois, he has taught auto mechanics classes, managed a technical hotline for a major auto parts manufacturer and has managed auto repair facilities.
